A stay to forget – definitely not worth it

Upon arrival, we were greeted by a filthy environment, both indoors and outdoors. The uncompleted renovations further contributed to a disappointing experience, with no coffee maker or working TV in our room. Unfortunately, cleanliness and comfort are not on the agenda here. I left feeling thoroughly disgusted.

comfortable basics with a few downsides

The AC kept us cool during the sweltering heat, which was a relief. The layout of the room facilitated good family time and was spacious enough for our need. We appreciated the accessibility of our ground floor room, which made moving in and out easy, especially with children. The swimming pool was a hit with the kids, providing great entertainment and a way to escape the heat.

The area felt a bit sketchy at times.

The outdoor dining area was lovely, and the proximity to attractions like the local park and popular eateries was a great plus. the pool was a hit with the kids! !

The breakfast options could use a bit more variety, particularly fresh fruits and protein choices.

The dirty carpet and roach were unsettling, but the beds were comfortable.

They were able to accommodate us on the ground floor. The AC worked well in the extreme heat. The beds were comfortable, making for a decent night's rest. The room had a pleasant layout, and the check-in was smooth.

However, the room's cleanliness left much to be desired, with some dust and minor maintenance issues present. Additionally, the noise from the surrounding area made it difficult to relax at night. A bit more variety in the breakfast options would have been appreciated too.

We loved our time exploring Redding! The location was perfect for checking out nearby lakes, making it an ideal spot for our family getaway. The AC was a lifesaver!

For dads, it would be great if the pool was open later.

We stayed in a Double Room with Two Double Beds, Non-Smoking. The AC was a lifesaver since it was over 100 degrees outside. Room was on the ground floor which was nice, but overall I just felt pretty uneasy here. It wasn't very clean—definitely had that old dust and smell vibe. The beds were okay, but the area felt sketchy. I just wanted to sleep and leave really. The lack of basic toiletries was a bit annoying too. Not the worst, but not great either.

Family with children expect a great stay

We checked into the hotel and were amazed at how modern everything looked. The kids absolutely loved the pool, it's HUGE! 10 feet deep, I mean come on, who doesn't want that?

It was not cheap but we felt it was still reasonable for what we got.

Staying at Abode was a delightful experience. The updated rooms featured lovely granite countertops and comfortable beds, making my stay enjoyable. Despite some minor cleanliness issues, the affordable price and the delicious waffles at breakfast were standouts. Overall, a charming spot for road trippers!

The noise levels from the nearby areas can be high, particularly late at night. I found it hard to catch some Z's with music thumping from outside. Also, the absence of basic amenities like coffee makers left me scrambling for morning caffeine. Some areas of the hotel felt a bit dated and in need of more renovations, which could make the stay feel less comfortable overall.
